Where are you based ?

Memories portrait photographer are based in Ilkeston, not to far from the city centre. Ilkeston is based on the border of derbyshire and Nottingham. 20 mins drive to Photographer Nottingham and 25 minute drive to the town centre of Derby.

Do I have to make a booking?

Yes. All our bookings are scheduled prior to the shoot at a convenient time and date. Just give us a call and we’ll be happy to arrange one for you.

How long does a studio or location shoot take?

A studio session can last around 60 minutes. This gives us plenty of time for wardrobe changes and the use of different backgrounds. A location shoot can last between 60 and 90 minutes as we walk around the grounds taking advantage of all the beauty spots.

Is there parking available at the studio?

Yes, we have a free customer car park. As you head down Belper Street (which is a one way street), you will find our studio on the right about halfway down with a sign on the front that says ‘The Old Mill Photography Studio’. Customers are more than welcome to use the first car park on the right.

Can you arrange a make up artist?

Yes. We use several highly qualified make up artists that are simply fantastic. They will work with you to provide whatever look you require.

How much is a shoot and what do I get?

We charge a £25 sitting fee which covers your time with the professional photographer. You will also receive a 10″x8″ print and two keychains of your favourite image taken throughout the photo shoot. (Excludes Our Promotion Offers)

Can I bring friends and family to a photo shoot?

Absolutely, we love to have lots of people around the studio as it creates a great vibe. As far as we’re concerned, the more the merrier. You can even bring your pets, as long as they are on their best behaviour.

What do I wear?

We’re happy for you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in and reflect your personality. However, we do advise clients to wear casual clothing that’s quite neutral as opposed to the latest fashion, which can easily date the photographs. We also advise clients to stay away from striking patterns, spots and brand names as this can distract the eye and take the attention away from peoples faces.

What products do you offer to display my favourite images?

We have a stunning selection of beautiful timeless frames, metal prints, block mounts, canvases and floating frames on offer which we’re sure you’ll be delighted with. These are displayed around our studio and show the fantastic examples of our work. We guarantee that you will not be disappointed with the selection as they will look great in peoples homes and workplace.

How much does a product cost?

We offer various sizes in the products mentioned and prices will vary depending on size and frame option. Simply get in touch with our studio and we’ll be happy to assist with a quote.

How long do I have to wait before I can see the photographs?

All of our photographs are shot on the highest quality and latest professional Canon cameras. Once we have selected and edited the images down to the best of the best, we will give you a call to arrange a time for the viewing. This usually takes around 7-10 days.

Do I have to purchase the photographs?

Absolutely not. We always aim to produce the best quality images we can for our customers and provide you with memories that will last for many years to come! If you feel that the images are not to your liking then there is no obligation to purchase. However, this is something that we have not seen to date.

Can I get my money back if I am not happy with the service?

We truly believe that you will have a great experience at Memories Portrait Photographers. We like to treat our customers as our guests and always look to deliver the best possible service at all times. We are so confident that you will enjoy your experience with us, that we are more than happy to refund your booking fee should you not find the experience to your liking.
